Let’s review:

Monday – Nothing
Tuesday – Nothing (7 AM meetings … poor excuse)
Wednesday – 3 miles, early evening run in Seattle
Thursday – 3 miles, repeat of Wednesday
Friday – Nothing (flew back to Phoenix on Friday night)
Saturday – 2 miles, hot and humid
Sunday – 5.1 miles, hot / humid / slow

Total mileage for the week - 13.2
Total mileage for July – 64.1

Total mileage for same week last year – 46
Total mile for July 2006 – 200

On the bright side, I’ve only got one way to go.

Have a great week.

Just get back into it this week Phil. A light week isn't a problem as long as you don't string too many together.

You're building up and healing. Don't feel guilty.

Sometimes life just gets in the doubt you will build it back up to your normal impressive regimen, though!

Thanks for the Pfitz advice. I'm going to go back and re-read a lot of your old posts when you were in the midst of the 18/55. It helps me to see how other people approach the runs. And you are a great example to follow!

Like you said, there is only one way to go from here...

It still looks good to me though but I know it's not where you usually are.

Yes you did slack on Tuesday. 13.2 for the week is better than nothing. Never good to look back at your totals for last year. That can only mess with your mind and makes things more difficult.

One foot in front of the other :)

BTW - dinner with your new employee and her husband sounding so very nice!!

Hmm. I can sense room for improvement.

Ouch! I'm sure you'll get your revenge soon enough. But an easy week can be good for you too.

You do what you've got to do. You'll be back in no time; and it will be like V for Vendetta. You'll wear a funny mask and make us call you "V" and kidnap someone...
Wait, those aren't good things. I mean to say that you'll be back with a vengeance.

You'll get back up soon, I'm sure :) Think of this as just more healing time

Sometimes, life happens, and one just can't log the miles. That's all right - we all need a respite, and you'll be energetic and ready to run the next week.
