Brain Freeze

I'm so dense sometimes. I managed to burn the skin my left knee with an ice pack. This was actually a fitting end to a less than stellar year.

Races
2 Marathons (PR - 3:53:43)
1 30K
1 11 Mile
1 8 Mile
2 5Ks

Total Mileage: 1,424 Miles

2008 will be better.

Hope you all have a safe New Year's Eve and I wish you all the very best in 2008.

You are set for a much better 2008!! You've got all the issues hammered out and you are ready to start setting some new PRs!

All the best, Phil. I don't even want to know how you managed to burn the skin with an ice pack. Didn't you notice? No, don't answer that. Happy New Year!

funny that you post about a brain freeze after your regional freeze warning.

Despite your disappointment I would say 2007 was quite a success based on the races you completed. Good job!

I'm sure 2008 will be an even bigger year for you!

BTW, we don't use ice in Minnesota, we just lean up against the walls of our igloos!

My final year end totals just barely beat your numbers. MAN THAT WAS CLOSE!!!!

You had a great year. Next year will be even better. Find your mojo and hang on tight!!!

I think you have classified a new running injury. Happy new year and good running in 2008.

I have made the old ice pack mistake maybe five times. I love that itchy, tingly feel the knee gets when the skin grows back. Happy New Year.

Was there wine drinking involved with this burn? LOL

It was a great year but I know it fell short of your expectations. Here is to meeting new goals in 2008!

u must not think much of pain if you burned your knee with an ice pack..

1424 is probably the miles i ran in both 2006 and 2007 plus 500!

i hope 2008 is great!

As my total mileage numbers are pretty darn close to yours, I'll say we had a great year :) 2008 will hopefully be wonderful!

Good luck with that knee...sounds like something I would do ;)
