Spring Time

It's spring time in central Arizona. This means that the first 80F (27C) runs of the year are upon us (followed quickly by the first 90F and 100F runs). It also means that there is a lot of green all around the desert.

I took the photos below at "Reach 11" park during a leisurely 7.5 mile run on Sunday afternoon. Hard to believe this place is within the Phoenix City limits.

Take care

Great pictures Phil! I am so sad that our perfect running weather is almost gone for the year. I really enjoyed the cooler temps and I know 100 degrees will be here before we know it. I remember those awful runs last summer slogging in the heat. Bleah.

What an urban gem! Enjoy the greenery and mildish temps while you can.

Wow, that is a really beautiful area! I had no idea deserts got green like that at certain times of the year. Very cool. Looks like your dog is enjoying it also. :-)

It's surprisingly green for the desert - you must have had some rain. It looks a lot like western NSW.

Your black lab is having a great time. Enjoy those 27C days Phil :)

Love the pics!! Nice to have trail options!! Sure wish that we had even more here. You get tired of the same ones over and over.

You have the best running partner around!!! I am sure you already knew that :)

So now we can imagine your trails always look this good? Perfect 70's temps, cool breezes! Trade ya?

These photos make me happy and sad.

It's cold and wet here in NYC.

Awwww man... the pictures look GREAT !!! I am drooling for this kind of weather. I would die before going to heaven by having this kind of weather. An ideal condition to run into. BTW, your dog looks pretty thirsty!!!!
